- All KDK members participated in an interview with Dr. Jane Burns from the Kawasaki Disease Research Center at UC San Diego, asking her many questions about her research and experience as the director of the Kawasaki Disease Clinic at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. MARYLAND Chapter
In Maryland, the Maryland Chapter held a bake sale at the Miller Branch Library, raising over $200 and raising awareness for Kawasaki Disease to over 65+ parents, teenagers, and families. (02/28/26)
The Maryland Chapter hosted a very successful booth at Multicultural Night at Marriotts Ridge High School. This event was a great opportunity to learn more about Kawasaki disease and connect with our community. More than 200 people attended the event and stopped by our booth, where we spread awareness about Kawasaki disease and received meaningful contributions and support for our booth activities.(04/10/26)
The Maryland Chapter hosted a booth at Heavenly Vision Community Church for the MyLife Foundation 2026 Community Resource Fair! We handed out many brochures and flyers to emphasize the importance of early recognition. More than 100 people stopped by our booth, making this a great opportunity for the Maryland Chapter to connect with healthcare workers, individuals affected by Kawasaki disease, and families throughout the community while helping spread awareness. The Tennessee Chapter went to Room in the Inn to help stock up on their winter supplies. (01/02/26)
The Tennessee Chapter raised over $600 dollars and spread recognition for Kawasaki Disease to 60+ families through a badminton tournament and sale of food. (01/19/26)
